News From February 2009
Feb 14th - Toliva Shoal: There is nothing like motoring down to Olympia in a nice breeze, only to have no wind on Saturday. Race finished at Johnson Point after a grueling 7 miles. Gary, Thom, Aubre, Marty joined the crew for the day. It was sunny and nice, and we drifted to a 4th place finish in class. And Thom learned NOT to toss the bucket over the side (Thanks Jan / Skip for picking that bucket back up for us)
Feb 28th - Gig Harbor Race: Well, we had a bit of everything this day - heavy air to start, a long reach, a light spot, and a finish that nearly did not come soon enough. Not to mention that the mark at GH was missing...... Peg came down to join the party, along with Picha and her nephew, Thom, Eric, and Jimmy.

Feb 8th - Gov Teats: It was a slow start to a beautiful day. Thom and Julie joined Eric for the short handed affair. Light winds turned into a nice little breeze about half way through. Thom did some great driving, Julie some great trimming, and Eric had another "Questionable" start. But it all added up to a 2nd place finish.
