May Started out a bit slow, with only Wednesday night races going on . We ended up with a few first and second places and had a lot of fun with very good wind and moderate weather. Things picked up a bit with the start of the annual Fun on Fridays racing on the last Friday of the month. We were able to pull out 2 first places to start the series. All in all, a very good month.
June was very busy for the boat and crew. We continued to do very well in the Fun on Friday Series, completing the 10 race sereis with 8 first place finishes, a second, and a third. We did win the class, and the prize was much better than the typical pickle dish, it was a very nice bottle of Scotch. Wednesday Nights were fun as usual, with GREAT weather and very good winds - some days we did good, others we did OK - but some how had fun the entire time. Just for added fun, CYCT tossed in the Summer Regatta. Granted, the turn out of a toatl of 4 boats was a bit low, but it was a great, sunny day to be on the water. We were joined on board by Pat Nelson off of French Kiss, and one of his other crew members Cedric. We ended up with 2 first place finishes in a fleet dominated by larger, heavier boats...but we were in fact passed by the C&C 39 Discovery for a short period of time.
July was dominated by Race week (See other page), but don't think that was all. We also had 4 Wednesday nights, just to give us some last minute practice. Again, a great month overall....
