Gardyloo (formerly "Kast ov Thowzunds") was purchased in April of 2007 in Southern California. I was introduced to the name while on a "Haunted City" tour of Edinburgh, Scotland.
The name does mean "Beware of the Water". The name is a cry heard in Edinburgh hundreds of years ago that was a warning that slop buckets were about to be emptied from the windows above.
